Circle Housing admit to wanting 200 extra PRIVATE properties on Ravensbury #mitcham #Morden

This week’s freeholders focus meeting saw Paul Quinn, Director of Regeneration for Circle Housing, admit to wanting an extra 200 properties on the Ravensbury estate and that they would ALL be sold to private investors!

He admitted that the 109 social housing properties would actually be reduced in number to 100 and that the remainder of the proposed homes will be 2/3rds of the total (ie 200 in number) would not be for social housing at all.

He also admitted that several draft layouts for the masterplan were in existence but that he thought it wrong to show them to the residents at this stage.

He seemed to gloss over the fact that for as long as the residents can remember, he and Circle Housing’s regeneration team have been denying any existence of a masterplan layout.

We now know that part of their consultation methodology, at least, is based on bare-faced lies as opposed to the proper transparency that we as residents expect from our housing association and local council.
