Councillors & MP meet Ravensbury Residents Association
One of our meetings this year: Philip Jones (Lab), Stephen Alambritis (Lab), Paul Holmes (Conservative candidate for Mitcham & Morden), Siobhain McDonagh MP for Mitcham & Morden (Labour) meets representatives of Ravensbury Residents Association discussing objections to redevelopment proposed by Circle Housing Merton Priory Homes

On Thursday 4th December 2014, all Ravensbury Residents are invited to a meeting with Siobhain McDonagh MP:

“I can confirm that the meeting will be going ahead, it will start at 7:30pm and is at St George’s Church on Central Road. I have confirmed with Paul Quinn Director of Regeneration that transport will be provided, he has informed me that the plan is to have two minibuses, which can make multiple journeys, picking residents up at the green by Hengelo Gardens and the Community Centre on Ravensbury Grove from 7:00pm.”

So please make a note in your diary.

We had asked for a joint meeting with Eastfields and Highpath RAs in attendance, but it seems they weren’t really interested in that for a variety of reasons!

We also hope you all responded to the Merton Council Consultation as it could guide future development and the planning permissions.

  1. If I am awake (traveling from up north) ,I will try to attend (HP resident) . although from High Path, interested in M&M political views as they see different to Prospective PC for Wimbledon, there is no clear polictical view, all 3 mainstream parties want to squeeze more dwelling units into less space, and it must be clear that it is not nimbyism that creates opposition to this , but one of respecting ( long-standing) residents geniune concerns, worries and need to be fairly treated, we are not living in a dictatorship- although at times it feels that we are. Also to my mind (without giving CHMP ideas, their demolish and re-build will go onto other estates, blocks and houses in their custodyship, without ceasing or control.
