Last night a few figures came up at our meeting with Circle. The total rebuild is around £600m across the three estates, Ravensbury being 16.67% of the total existing homes (200 out of 1200), therefore effectively representing £100m net expense. With 100 homes in the Ravensbury demolition/redevelopment area as it stands, that makes each home effectively amount to £1m in the Merton regen project. A fine figure for a house that CHMP keep trying to suggest needs demolishing despite been structurally sound. A new three bedroom house would cost roughly £100k to rebuild.
