RA Meeting on Wednesday, 18th July 2018
At this week’s RA meeting we’ll be welcoming Natasha Irons, the newly elected Labour councillor for Ravensbury. If you fancy popping by at 7pm in the residents room on Ravensbury Grove. We have the significant problem of Stephen Alambritis supporting the 4 storey blocks of flats along Ravensbury Grove and not listening to residents, so maybe this is a good time to speak your mind.

We’ll be discussing why 3 local residents have decided to stand for election this year. Ready to listen to everyone’s opinions on what needs to change at Merton Council too.

Local Residents for Ravensbury – 3rd May 2018 local elections
Three local residents will be standing for election as independent councillors in the coming local elections on 3rd May 2018.
Tracy Wilson, Mark Gale & Christopher Holt have all chosen to stand, so that residents are properly represented in Merton Council.
You will have 3 votes in the coming election, so you now have the option of voting for local residents instead of the actual parties themselves.

Don’t forget that today is your last day to respond to the Merton regen proposals. No matter what your opinion might be, we would encourage you to respond to the overall design as it will change Ravensbury forever if it goes through unchallenged.
The scale of the development is immense for the area and it appears that there will not be any more social housing provision than there currently is. Ravensbury Estate is next to the River Wandle so all these extra buildings and paving areas will serve to further compromise our area in the middle of a flood zone. Plenty of trees also will be removed both inside the regen area and outside.
Hengelo Gardens and Ravensbury Grove will significantly change if these proposals go unchallenged.
The 4 storey blocks of flats proposed along Ravensbury Grove will significantly change the character of Ravensbury so please write into: planning.representations@merton.gov.uk – Quote Ref 17/P1718
